@erikcats @nerdlings teasing us with that prime coat, I can't wait to see what you do with all of these.

@DoctorSpork @nerdlings idk yet I'll be honest. Am leaning towards turquoise ink

@erikcats @nerdlings if you are thinking of using washes have a little go first. The layer line on 3D prints can cause unexpected results.

I tend to paint mine using a sponging technique for this reason.

@DoctorSpork @erikcats @nerdlings Interesting. So you go from dark to light?

@Local @erikcats @nerdlings exactly, this is how I did the yellow on my ruins.

Orange base coat, sponge yellow on leaving orange in the recesses, finally I used some thinned white and a 5mm square bit of sponging to highlight the top of the blocks.

@Local @erikcats @nerdlings I used the same basic 3 stage to get the grey to this pint on NY cathedral. Dark grey, mid grey, light grey. It took me less than an hour to do, including drying time.

@Local @erikcats @nerdlings and whilst I have extra stages after this, that is just because I'm a hobby masochist

@DoctorSpork @erikcats @nerdlings I will remember this, when I have a printer. 😁
Thanks for sharing.

@DoctorSpork @nerdlings this is a great call. It's full of layer Lines because I haven't used the finest settings

@erikcats @DoctorSpork @nerdlings Sorry, I have to: If you had used the finest settings, you technically would have more layer lines, so you did everything right! 🤣😉😅

I maintained my painting streak for this year today, by putting the whites in 4 eyes. Every little thing helps.

@erikcats @DoctorSpork @nerdlings Not at the level I paint. It is more like, aim, move brush forward and hope aim was good.😂
